The 2020 Copper Arrow Photography Senior Model Team
2020 Senior Model Team
Prom Photoshoot
I think we can all agree that 2020 can just calm down a bit. The COVID-19 global pandemic has had devastating effects on families all around the world. In addition to interrupting the routine of daily life, the pandemic has shattered plans that some looked forward to for years. My heart goes out to all of the 2020 seniors—plans for prom, graduation, and summers spent abroad that were carefully organized for weeks, even months, have been quickly dissolved. That being said, there are still ways to find a semblance of normality amidst all the chaos. My Copper Arrow Photography senior models were determined not to let anything stand in their way of a great senior year—starting with a prom photoshoot.
Let me tell you about these amazing girls.
Anna had worked with me before and always knew she wanted me to do her senior portraits. I love working with Anna—the more you get to know her, the more her beautiful personality shines through.
Katie is a sweet and quiet girl who was motivated to become a senior model because she wanted to try something new and meet new friends.
It was similar for Autumn. Autumn wanted to have fun and to meet some new people with similar interests. She is such a kind and considerate person, with admirable loyalty to her family, especially her mom.
Jordan, who was looking for a new experience, is so much fun and a genuinely kind spirit.
Lily, who loved my photography style, was looking to step out of her comfort zone and try something new—I am so glad she did! She kept the giggles coming with her great sense of humor.
Despite their varying personalities and interests, each girl had at least one thing in common. They are all passionate about horses, and each one of them owns at least one horse! When they all arrived for our session, everyone was naturally a little quiet and reserved. But it did not take long for everyone to be swapping stories and sharing laughs, becoming fast friends. These girls were so much fun to work with, and I am honored to have such a fantastic group of girls make up my senior model team for 2020.
Our session took place on a beautifully warm day at my client-exclusive location in Seymour, Wisconsin. Each girl wore the dress they were planning to wear to their prom. Angela Marie Makeup Artistry did Lily’s hair and makeup, but the rest did their own. They all looked so stunning in their lovely dresses! Stenciled of Green Bay provided the arch and Wanderlust Skulls provided the buffalo skull, both pieces contributing to our ethereal backdrop.
I know 2020 threw a wrench in the plans of many. But it makes my heart swell to see so many young people make the best of a less than ideal situation. What is more, I am simply honored to get to be a part of that journey. Some things in life do not go as planned—and that is okay! I want to be your photographer for all the adventures that life sets in our path.
