Every senior deserves to feel the spotlight, and I work hard to ensure that a senior session with me is not just fun and rewarding but pampering, too! High school is hard work, and when it comes time to celebrate the exciting accomplishment of graduation…well, you deserve to be spoiled, and your senior pictures are no exception.

While a senior session should be dedicated to celebrating the—you guessed it—senior, these sessions can be an excellent opportunity to capture some memorable moments with family members, too! The support of our family is often imperative to achieving our goals, so why not include some of the fam?

My senior session with Autumn took place in East Troy, Wisconsin, on a summer day heavy with heat. East Troy is a charming village southwest of Milwaukee, and the rustic, pastoral background was the ethereal background we were hoping to find. While Autumn was undoubtedly the star of this session, it was a delight to have her mom, Gina, and sister, Stephanie, come along for the ride. Autumn also brought her cherished horse Rio, a paint mare, to include in some of her pictures. I have to say, capturing the bond Autumn shares with Rio was one of the easiest parts of my day—these two adore each other, and it’s overwhelmingly clear both behind and in front of the camera.

Autumn is a kind and outgoing young woman who exudes strength and grace, even under pressure. Her natural beauty was highlighted by Angela of Angela Marie Makeup and Artistry; with her gorgeous horse beside her, Autumn truly glowed.

One of my favorite moments of our session was when we recreated an old childhood photo of Autumn and Stephanie. The trend of recreating family pictures is one that I hope sticks around. It was so much fun to bring their cherished memories back to life!

Making senior pictures a family affair can mean different things to different people. Whether your family consists of parents, siblings, best friends, or cherished pets, consider including them in your senior pictures. You’ll still get a personalized session dedicated to you, but it’ll be complemented by the people who have helped you along the way.
