Reese & Margaux | Senior Portraits with her horse | West Bend, WI | Minglewood Farm

You know those warm, sun-filled days that fill you with a sense of joy and kid-like wonder? That was what I felt as I pulled up to Minglewood Farm. It was a beautiful day, and I was excited about meeting Reese and her gorgeous mare, Margaux.

Minglewood Farm is a hunter/jumper barn located in Southeast Wisconsin. It is a beautiful property with an indoor and outdoor arena and natural trails in the surrounding area. When I arrived, Reese and Margaux were ready for their close-up.

We started by hanging out around the arm and capturing some portraits of Reese. It’s always nice to start with some portrait shots to get used to being in front of a camera and shake the nerves before adding in your horse. Plus, this is your senior session, and we will always take some time for just you.

Once we added Margaux to the session it was so fun to see how bonded the pair is. The trust they share with one another is exceptional. Margaux was such a good girl throughout the session. We were able to capture so many fun bareback photos. Reese’s personality continued to burn brighter the more we worked together.

Capturing senior sessions with horses will always be one of my favorite ways to spend a day and Reese’s session was no exception.
