If you have been following my career since the beginning, you know that taking senior pictures made up the majority of my first few professional projects. Since then, they have been an integral part of my business model and personal passion. They will always hold a special place in my heart! That’s why I’m beyond thrilled every opportunity I have to provide a senior—and her faithful horse, of course—with beautiful portraits to last a lifetime.

High school graduate Emma entrusted me with the privilege of capturing her senior photos, and from the moment I set foot at the Creekview Riding Center in De Pere, Wisconsin, I knew that I was in for a special experience. Emma is soft-spoken, with an incredibly kind and approachable disposition, and her sweetness is reflected in the love and trust that her Quarter Horse Benny displayed. 

It was warm, sunny, and peaceful in De Pere, which is a small city near Green Bay, and the Creekview Riding Center was the perfect backdrop to snap some unforgettable pictures. Benny was so cooperative; you could just see how much he trusted Emma, who would only need to utter the softest of commands to elicit a response. He was eager to please his rider, and from chatting with Emma’s mom, as well as Emma’s sister, Sarah, Benny has always been a sweetheart. In fact, Sarah was Benny’s previous owner, and she had her own stories to share about why Benny holds such a special place in all of their hearts. 

While Benny is now retired, Emma and he did many shows together. He was well-practiced in a variety of disciplines, but they focused on Western. With the resulting photos, you can see that Benny and Emma share a history of hard work and success—this kind of trust and love just can’t be faked! 

Angela Marie of Angela Marie Makeup Artistry was behind the scenes to ensure Emma felt pampered and spoiled, and I am sure that you’ll agree that she looks absolutely gorgeous in her senior pictures.
