Bay Port High School Senior Portraits

Desirae | Class of 2019

The weather in Wisconsin isn’t always perfect and it can often be unpredictable. Sometimes, in between days laced in golden sunshine and warm, balmy temperatures, there are times where the weather is less than dreamy. However, this has never stopped my amazing clients and myself from enjoying a remarkable experience--no matter what the weather may bring! This was the case for my senior representative, Desirae, and I on our day for her personal senior session. But the heavy clouds, cold weather, and icy breeze couldn’t stop us! In fact, the gray skies contributed to some amazing lighting—in nearly all our photos, Desirae positively glows!

Desirae’s session took place at her friend’s house in Little Suamico. It was the perfect backdrop for the earthy, natural atmosphere we were going for, with a pumpkin patch and the changing leaves of autumn to add to the ambiance. It was a morning session and we were both feeling a little sleepy, but the chilly weather and delightful conversation perked us both right up! In no time we were feeling refreshed and energized as Desirae styled the outfits she had picked out and posed with pumpkins, personalized props, and her sweet dog, who has the most beautiful eyes. She’s a natural in front of the camera, and the overall session both relaxing and fun.

It was a blast spending time with Desirae. Her personality is bright and outgoing, with a great sense of humor, and I couldn’t keep track of all the times she made me laugh. She has a passion for animals, something we could both relate to, and loves trying new things. She puts that adventurous spirit to use with all her incredible talents, including color guard. I was really impressed as she told me about her history with color guard, which requires so much skill and dexterity. We had to incorporate her tossing her flag and handling her gun in some of the pictures, which will be an awesome homage to her time participating in the sport in high school. Senior pictures are the perfect opportunity to include your passions and hobbies—I’m so glad Desirae was excited to include hers.

This was a personal senior session for Desirae, which is one of the many perks she enjoys as one of my senior representatives. I can’t brag about my senior reps enough—they are all so full of kindness, talent, and independence, and it’s a privilege that they all represent my brand. I’m always looking for new senior representatives, so if you’re a junior looking to try something new, I would love to meet you and talk about the different ways you can join my team. Everyone has a unique talent, and I cannot wait to hear all about yours.

There is never a bad season for senior photographs. Summertime yields warm, golden results with lush green backgrounds and rampant wildflowers, spring is dewy and fresh, and winter is an unexpectedly beautiful option for crisp backgrounds and bright light. Desirae’s pictures were done in autumn, a personal favorite of mine, and we were thrilled with the results. Whichever season you choose, know Copper Arrow Photography will be ready to encapsulate the spirit of the season and your story through photographs.
