Summertime is full of sweet beginnings. Warmer weather, longer days of sunshine, and outdoor activities. But for thousands of high school seniors around the world, summer marks a monumental end. For these young adults, they find themselves bidding the last few years of high school goodbye. There is something incredibly exciting about graduation, but the occasion is not without its bittersweet moments. Many of us have memories of high school we remember with fondness and moving on can feel a little scary. Regardless, graduation is an accomplishment to be proud of. And it is far from an ending—it is an exciting beginning! Senior photos are the perfect way to commemorate the last four years of your life, and I was honored to help so many high school seniors get the pictures they had always dreamed of.

You may remember Desirae, one of my senior representatives in 2019. To celebrate her impending graduation ceremony, we decided it would be great to get some pictures of her in her cap and gown. While we took her senior pictures last autumn, this session was to commemorate the ceremony itself and to celebrate Desirae’s accomplishments. So on a warm and sunny day in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin, we embarked on a journey to do just that! I loved the urban background the city gave us, and Desirae’s beautiful white dress stood out in sharp contrast with her richly hued blue cap and gown. I loved how she designed her cap, which was a touching testament to her father.

To all of the seniors who booked their senior portraits with me for the 2019 school year, I just want to say thank you. It was a pleasure working with so many bright, accomplished young people, and our sessions together were some of the highlights of the past year. I look forward to hearing about your successes after high school and cannot help but be certain of your exciting futures. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a momentous year in your lives. As a photographer, moments like these are priceless. It makes every aspect of my job worth it!

I look forward to working with many more seniors this coming school year. If you are a student about to enter your senior year in high school, it is never to early to start planning for your senior pictures. Time slots fill up fast, and the earlier you begin the more creative freedom we have.

High school is here and gone in just four short years, and I believe in cherishing each and every moment. Finishing high school is a resounding success for all students and something that everyone should be proud of. I want to extend a big congratulations to all of you seniors from 2019. The world awaits you!
