Graces’s Equine Senior Photos
At Home Location in Plainfield, WI
What’s better than one horse? Two horses, of course. And what’s better than two horses? Three horses! So you can imagine my excitement when the time came to take Grace’s senior pictures, because this lovely young lady brought along her four horses. I don’t limit my clients to how many horses or pets they want to include, and it’s always such a fun challenge to look for creative ways to get some great group photos, including some more intimate one-on-one shots.
Grace’s four horses, Daxx, Shandy, Prince, and Jazzy, were on their best behavior, attentive to Grace’s commands and eager to please. Grace is an incredibly experienced horsewoman—she’s done everything from western pleasure to barrel racing. Her gentle and mild nature instantly puts her horses at ease, and it’s amazing to see what kind of trust they all share.
Our session took place at Grace’s lovely home in Plainfield, Wisconsin. The day was warm and sunny, and the overall mood mirrored the beautiful weather as Grace and her mom Joanna shared stories about each of the horses and Grace’s journey as an equestrian. Their house was the perfect place to take pictures—not only was it picturesque, but it made for a comfortable and familiar place for the horses, especially between shots.
Special thanks to Angela of Angela Marie Makeup Artistry who did Grace’s hair and makeup, and delivered the gorgeous results you can always expect from her. Getting your senior pictures done is a monumental moment for any young person, and I love how Angela always makes my clients feel comfortable and beautiful. It’s important to me that our session together is relaxed, stress-free, and ultimately fun, and I’m so grateful when everyone behind the scenes contributes to the awesome atmosphere.
