Kendall with Rip & Clyde | Horse and Rider Session in Wisconsin

Fond Du Lac, WI

When I had my consultation with Kendall, I knew right away that we would have a great session. Kendall is a Western Pleasure rider with her two geldings, Rip and Clyde. These handsome, Quarter Horses are big babies and were a lot of fun to photograph.

Rip, the red roan, is the newest addition and Kendall has high hopes for his showing career. Clyde, her stately chestnut, has been her go-to mount for a few years and always gives his all in and out of the show ring. The two get have become best buds since Rip’s arrival.

We knew we wanted to capture some great lifestyle portraits but made time for those gorgeous black background shots too. I always have such a hard time deciding which I love more, the lifestyle that showcases the partnership between horse and rider or black backgrounds that highlight all of those gorgeous details on your horse. Do you have a preference?

We wrapped our session in the green pastures while Kendall walked her boys into the sunset.
