Grace with Stella and Nolan | Senior Session with her horses in Wisconsin

What’s better than golden hour with a senior and her horse? Golden hour with a senior and her two horses and two dogs! Nolan, the handsome paint, and Stella, the sooty buckskin, play a big role in Grace’s life. As a teen that grew up with the love and bond of horses, I love seeing girls experience something so precious.

It was so enjoyable watching Grace love on these two. This girl didn’t hesitate to toss off her heels, walk barefoot across the cool grass, and immerse herself in the moment. We took advantage of all of the different fun spaces throughout the property. From the pretty, white vinyl fenced-in pastures, to the rustic picket fence, and the vintage metal swing - there were so many cool spots!

My favorite moment of this session was the calamity that transpired as Grace maneuvered her way on top of a very show-sheened Nolan in her skirt. Luckily her trainer was there to hold Nolan and Nolan was an absolute saint to work with. We had lots of laughs and captured so many great images! I have to say that bareback portraits are some of my favorites.

We wrapped up our session with her two pups in a big meadow soaking in the last rays of the sun.
