Amanda & Fern | Dressage Duo in Ocala, Florida

I met up with Amanda and Fern for a lovely Horse and Rider portrait session to celebrate a few big milestones in their journey together — and what a great session it was! Photoshoots with your horse are the perfect way to commemorate your relationship, no matter if you’re lifelong friends or just beginning your journey together.

Amanda just recently purchased Fern and wanted to start their career off right with beautiful portraits under the Spanish moss. They moved to Ocala, FL to pursue a career in dressage and I can’t wait to see how far they go! Even though they’re both new to Ocala, they were right at home under the stately trees. I have to say there’s some moody magic that happens on overcast days, especially on the Southern coast!

I loved seeing Amanda work so many outfits! Each look brought a new feel to the session, from casual to moody to elegant. Add in two of the cutest dogs and a tall, dark, and handsome gelding? I felt like I was surrounded by models! Do you plan to bring your dogs to join in on the fun? The more the merrier!
