Equine Photographer captures Horse + Rider Pair Addison and Bella
Green Bay, WI Horse & Rider Photos
All horses deserve to feel the love of a little girl at least once in their lifetime. The bond between a young girl and her horse is a bond unlike no other. It is something I have had the privilege of experiencing in my own life with my mare Riley, and it is now something that I cherish getting to capture on camera for my job. When I met Addison and her mare Rocabella, I was moved by their sweet and trusting friendship and instantly fell in love with their story. The purpose of our session was to commemorate their relationship and celebrate the simplicity and sweetness that comes with the truest of friendships, and I hope you’ll agree that we succeeded. Our session took place at Northstar Equestrian, a charming equestrian center located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was the perfect place for a number of reasons. Rocabella (known fondly as Bella) was born at Northstar, and it’s also where she and Addison first met. In fact, Addison was the first human contact Bella ever had. The two became bonded and what ensued has been a friendship that Bella has never lived without Their relationship is multifaceted, as Addison does showjumping with Bella. Jumping requires a lot of trust on both sides of the horse and rider relationship, and it is easy to see why the two of them are so successful. Studies have proven that touch is the foundation of the powerful human and horse relationship, and Bella and Addison are no exception. The trust and love they share are of the purest form. The day at Northstar was gorgeous. The fields and picket fences were awash in the glow of warm sunshine, and it was a fitting day in a summer that was winding toward its end. Angela Marie Makeup Artistry assisted behind the scenes with hair and makeup, and as always, she did an incredible job. Addison looked radiant and age-appropriate, and Angela focused on enhancing her natural beauty. Getting pictures done is always a special occasion, so I was thrilled that Addison was able to fully savor the day. She brought along her sweet pups, too, and it was a lot of fun incorporating them into the “family” photos. Friendships are one of the most important facets of life and forming these deep relationships with animals is a truly beautiful and unique experience not everyone gets to enjoy. These are the kinds of relationships that should be celebrated and remembered. As an equestrian photographer, I delight in memorializing the relationship my clients share with their horses. An equine session can be an incredibly special way to remember your horse forever. Horses are not with us forever, but cherished pictures and memories can be. I look forward to meeting you and your horse as we celebrate your friendship.
